Thanks for sharing, Steve. For those of you who have the skills but lack job experience to put on your resume, I recommend an internship. For example, I volunteer with Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (ypfp.org) and we’re always looking for volunteers to help design and implement our social media strategy. Volunteering for a small non-profit is a great way to build a portfolio and show potential employers what you could do for them.
